Filled as I was with trepidation on approaching an eatery bearing the Chef and Brewer logo, the grub was grand and I needn't have worried. Fascinatingly, the refurbishment has made the inside appear older and smaller. Supporting beams and other wooden structures have been revealed, which the previous decorators must have managed to hide in a parallel dimension, as they are lower now than the ceiling was. And it might have been nice to save a little money for matching, stable furniture instead of borrowing it from Grandma's house now that she is in that nice nursing home.
